This would certainly be great - but be aware that gsoc is normally
individual, so each of you would have to submit a proposal, possibly
(ideally?) non-overlapping.

To get a feel for DragonFly, I suggest you grab a DragonFly ISO, install
it and just play around with vkernels. It'll give you a better idea of
what they are all about and how they work.
