Hello!

I am a third year undergraduate computer science student.
I have good experience in C/C++ coding and the relevant courses which i had
opted for are:
     1. Computer Organization
     2. System programming and operating systems

For the aforementioned project my course of action would be:
    1. Remove the old USB stack from the kernel
    2. Import the new stack from FreeBSD 9.0
    3. Solve compatibility issues with DragonFlyBSD
    4. Import the latest USB controller device
    5. Troubleshoot device recognizing issues

I am looking for some suggestions so as to file an official proposal.

I would further like to know the procedure for proof of competency i.e. any
requirements such as sending a pull request for a patch after solving the
respective issue.

Thank you
