That is why drill is coming in. Problem is you can't really dump BIND 
without dumping the related tools, too. AFAICT they are too glued 
together, don't know how to say it. If you keep the parts of BIND in 
base that you need for the tools like host and dig there is not much 
difference in keeping the entire BIND distribution in base.
