Do you mean not build gcc-3.4 by default, and change the option to
WANT_GCC34?
Do we have a need for gcc-3.4 being built any more?
I'm not sure if we need a fortran compiler to build the gcc fortran 
compiler.  our gcc41 right now doesn't support fortran or objc, so if 
these compilers are needed to bootstrap themselves, we shouldn't switch 
off gcc34.

maybe for now keep it building and use NO_GCC34 to opt out.
