buildworld and gt-f-com.h: No such file or directory

I think this problem happened to me before. And I see it has also happened 
to others.

I also had different problem when I set DESTDIR on bmake command line.

Anyways, now I am running with:

 env MAKEOBJDIRPREFIX=/home/reed/obj make buildworld 

Is this a bug? Should it be fixed or documented in the README and/or 
build(7)?
