Well, it's 'kind of' off point, I don't know how much difference for ATA,
RAID and stuff in the between DragonFly, FreeBSD 4.x and FreeBSD 5.x/6.x.
Maybe, those links might be or not useful to you. sos has rewrote ATA RAID
support and fixed many bugs that got people can boot FreeBSD with their
laptop and different hardwares. Also, added module support, SATA hot
inserted/removed and etc.
