One thing apt/dpkg can't do is let different versions of the same
package coexist, as pkgsrc can.
That happens to be very important.

Many legacy and 'lesser' systems, including CP/M
DOS, WinWoes, Netware, OS/2, VMS, and just about
all 'big iron' OS'en have been able to handle that in
one way or another for multiple decades, as can a *N*X.
But only a few of those could easily do so in an
'automatic' manner, and DragonFlyBSD needs
to become one of those.
