networking modules

mail goes to the list again, since your (rob) server says
Client host rejected: sniff...sniff...I smell SPAM!
No valid recipients
i couldn't find any module called *ed* in /modules. i just installed
from a live cd (02/09/2004), the system runs as expected, but the nic
doesn't get recognized. original dmesg output is difficult to get; no
net and no floppies at hand. the important lines are:
Preloaded elf kernel "/kernel" at 0xbla
pcic0: <TI PCI-1131 PCI-CardBus Bridge> mem 0x7fffe000-0x7fffefff irq 15
at device 17.0 on pci0
pcic0: TI113X PCI Config Reg: [ring enable][speaker enable][CSC serial
isa irq] installed MI handler for int 15
pccard0: <PC Card 16-bit bus (classic)> on pcic0
pcic1: <TI PCI-1131 PCI-CardBus Bridge> mem 0x7ffff000-0x7fffffff irq 11
at device 17.1 on pci0
pcic1: TI113X PCI Config Reg: [ring enable][speaker enable][CSC serial
isa irq] installed MI handler for int 11
pccard1: <PC Card 16-bit bus (classic)> on pcic1
these are the only entries that make sense in conjunction with
pcmcia/networking. hope i made no typos.

booting the GENERIC kernel, and was the card detected?  Can you reply with
the output of dmesg?  I don't use PCMCIA, so I'm not sure what the status
of the code is on DragonFly.

hi list,

anybody in a mood to tell me how to get a plain pcmcia-card to work?.
under linux, it worked with the good old ne2000-driver. i cannot find
anything about this issue and the module-names are quite unintuitive.
