Some questions on updating.

:quick ordering point:
:make buildworld
:make buildkernel
:make installkernel
:reboot (single user mode if you can)
:make installworld
:(in other words, install the new kernel before installing the new world).
    
    Generally speaking you do not have to reboot before doing the
    installworld, but you should make sure that the system is idle
    since installworld will be ripping up binaries out from under
    running programs, and you should reboot after the installworld finishes.
