To be honest, I actually find writing code in Ruby to be very easy,
powerful and it just what you were thinking of how it should work.  Just
feels right.  But that's of course just my opinion.
Are you saying Ruby is somehow easier than Python? A novice can pick up 
the gist of Python in a day. How easy can it get? Ruby doesn't really 
offer anything over Python, and Python has a larger set of modules & a 
larger user base. I can't see any reason to pick Ruby over Python 
myself. Also the "whitespace issue" is a non-issue for actual users of 
the language as it (pretty much) just enforces good indentation style 
[aka readable code].
