    Remove the RELEASE_CRUNCH build variable

    * It was used to specially craft binaries for use with PicoBSD in the
      distant past.

    * The conditional code paths it enables have not been maintained for
more than a decade and are of dubious value.

    * At this point it's best to just remove it.
