USB fatal trap

:on a system running from a USB harddisk, I regularly run into this upon 
:'shutdown -h now':

:It's not much of a problem, though, since the disk is already marked as 
:clean at that point so it won't fsck upon reboot...

    Can you get a coredump out of it?  It looks like it should be easy
    to track down.
