Sure.  In the Select Subpartitions step, in the Expert Mode view, there
is now a "MFS" checkbox for each mount point.  When the checkbox is
selected, that subpartition is created as an MFS-backed filesystem on
the system being installed.  These filesystems operate in the same way
as the read-write filesystems on the LiveCD itself.  No disk space is
used for these sorts of filesystems; they live in memory, and are
volatile (their contents disappear across reboots.)  /tmp is an obvious
candidate.
