    I don't see the connection.

    The build has to work from a 4.x box.  Right now it seems to be ignoring
    the .sub files, especially the ones in boot/, and this is causing the 
    build to fail.

    The buildworld will use the compiler it builds as part of the buildworld,
    but it is either not using /usr/src/share/mk, or it is not using it all
    of the time.
