    Oh, well,... I sent it to Rob I think.  In anycase, not a big deal.

    I would prefer that any vendor code related fixups we do revert the
    vendor code to its pristine state and put the adjustments in the
    build directories instead of patching the vendor code (e.g. like I 
    do with binutils212 and gcc3-3), but that's a lot of work (it was
    at least 40 man hours for me to do gcc3-3) so it's not a requirement.
    Crypto would be a good candidate.

    FreeBSD almost got it right but by insisting on making patches directly
    to the vendor import they create a situation where older versions of the
    vendor code must be physically retained in the repository, and the result
    is that a lot of vendor code is allowed to rot for long periods of time.
