Well, natacontrol(8) only controls nata(4) devices, such as 'ad*', 'cd*', 'acd*', but cannot control virtio(4) as well as ahci(4) devices.

hi,
I did not find any info so decide it can be a bug.
Well I boot dfly-x86_64-4.8.0_REL.iso in qemu-kvm with two virtio HDDs and one cd.
I see sysctl kern.disks :
cd0 vbd1 vbd0 acd0 md0 vn3 vn vn1 vn0

but if I try natacontrol list I see only cd,
I tried natacontrol info vbd0 and result was "invalid channel vbd0"
natacontrol info ata0 shows me master and slave are not present.

well how can I configure software raid on virtio_blk devices?

dmesg|grep vtb shows:
vtblk0: <VirtIO Block Adapter> on virtio_pci1
vtblk1: <VirtIO Block Adapter> on virtio_pci2
