Issue #2460 has been updated by James Thomas.

Thank you sephe,

I actually received the exact same tip from tux on irc earlier today, but hadn't gotten around to updating this report yet. Turns out this was the issue.

It made me happy, so here is a paste of my "dmesg.woot"!

The irc channel is very friendly and helpful and I'm glad I chose dfly for my database backup server.

Thanks again,

James

Hi all,

The box in question is an HP Proliant DL580 G2 with four 32 bit Xeon MP 2.8GHz cpus, all of which are available at POST. BIOS, disk array, and LOSI firmwares have all been updated. I did a fresh install from the 3.2.1 release cd this morning, did 'make src-create' in /usr and then built world, kernel, then installed kernel, world, and upgrade.

Here's a verbose dmesg.boot:

Thank you,

James
