pkgsrc issues need to go to NetBSD PR system.
(this is likely obsolete anyway)

Bug #1910: pkgsrc net/ntop doesn't build because of limxml2.so problem
http://bugs.dragonflybsd.org/issues/1910

Status: Closed

When compiling ntop from pkgsrc 2010Q3 I get

/usr/pkgsrc/net/ntop/work/.buildlink/lib/libxml2.so: file not
recognized: File format not recognized
gmake[2]: *** [libntop.la] Error 1
gmake[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/pkgsrc/net/ntop/work/ntop-4.0'
gmake[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/pkgsrc/net/ntop/work/ntop-4.0'
gmake: *** [all] Error 2
*** Error code 2

Stop.
bmake: stopped in /usr/pkgsrc/net/ntop
*** Error code 1

Stop.
bmake: stopped in /usr/pkgsrc/net/ntop

I already rebuild and reinstalled libxml2, didn't change anything. The
binary ntop dumps core (bus error).

Any ideas?

Jan
