Kernel panics: smbfs and udf

Now as for udf ... I can mount a data DVD using mount_udf without problems, ls 
the contents, but when I try to play a video file using mplayer, a kernel 
panic occurs and the kernel and vmcore are located at 
leaf:~rumko/crash/22.Sep.2006/* ... this panic is also perfectly 
reproducible.
