Some BIOSes get confused when a hard drive with a semi-broken slice table
(or one containing non-windows slices) exists. There have been numerous
occassions where I have had to remove a FreeBSD HD that was in dangerously
dedicated mode in order to boot from CD.

    So its worth a shot.
