I looked at the messages posted to the "submit" group and I have seen
nothing. Of course, I have looked at dfports at the beginning, but
there is also nothing.

I would not mind doing the necessary changes to net-snmp, but the
problem is that I have no idea about the roadmap envisioned for the
userland headers by the DF developers, as I am not aware of any
documentation about it and I do not remember seeing anything in the mail

It is OK to clean up the headers, but when some functionality is
removed, something else must be added to provide an alternate way to do
the same thing. Moreover, some document must be written explaining how
to convert the old ports to the new headers.

Or, you can run 'pkg_add -r net-snmp'. I have it installed now, though I

Alas, that is not on option for me. I need to build net-snmp from
sources, because I need to add the SO_BROADCAST option to the sockets
used by it. I have a lot of networkimg devices that require broadcast
SNMP packets but the maintainers of net-snmp have not foreseen this.

	Best regards !
