sshd broken in -CURRENT?

I can't login via SSH with -CURRENT.

Tailing /var/log/auth.log I see:-

Feb  1 16:41:59 brandy sshd[992]: Accepted keyboard-interactive/pam
for steve from 10.0.1.4 port 56689 ssh2
Feb  1 16:41:59 brandy sshd[992]: fatal: openpty returns device for
which ttyname fails.
Feb  1 16:41:59 brandy sshd[992]: syslogin_perform_logout: logout()
returned an error
Feb  1 16:41:59 brandy sshd[992]: error: chown  0 0 failed: No such
file or directory
Feb  1 16:41:59 brandy sshd[992]: error: chmod  0666 failed: No such
file or directory
