yahhh.... good news Peter, I replicated the problem.

The problem did not occur at all, UNTIL I did this:

	apachectl stop
	apachectl start

And now the test server is blowing rocks. Sometimes my telnet works,
sometimes it doesn't do anything, sometimes it gets connection refused.
    It's completely random.

    Hooyahh.

Jeff... contact me to get a login on test3.backplane.com (one of the
dell 2550's), if you don't already have access. I can reproduce the
    problem easily now (I think).

apollo:/home/dillon> telnet test3 80
Trying 216.240.41.13...
telnet: connect to address 216.240.41.13: Connection refused
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host

apollo:/home/dillon> telnet test3 80
Trying 216.240.41.13...
Connected to test3.backplane.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
[worked]
Connection closed by foreign host.

apollo:/home/dillon> telnet test3 80
Trying 216.240.41.13...
telnet: connect to address 216.240.41.13: Connection refused
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host

apollo:/home/dillon> telnet test3 80
Trying 216.240.41.13...
Connected to test3.backplane.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
[worked]
Connection closed by foreign host.

apollo:/home/dillon> telnet test3 80
Trying 216.240.41.13...
[hang]

Oh man the test server is confused now!
