First I hope you doing this from the console. Next, please stay on the
first virtual console (that at f1), if the kernel does print anything,
it goes there. If it hangs the next time, try to break into the debugger
using <ctrl>-<alt>-<esc>, if that is successful, your machine is not
completely dead and we can likely get more information on the actual
issue.
