That's all fine. But I have to start dhclient by hand, because pccardd
doesn't seem to call the script that ultimately calls /etc/rc.d/network1.

Maybe you should :) I have to say it works a treat, except for this niggle.
It's not really a big deal that I have to run dhclient by hand, but I
shouldn't have to :)
