Installer messes up disk slice size when activating the slice

Ouch. Looks like you and Jeroen hit the same bug. The installer
team will nail it down and I'll roll an update to the release. This
is definitely a bug that can't be left alone.

:Hi all,
:
:Well done on the release.
:
:When using the 1.0 RELEASE installer on a freshly fdisk'd drive with
:more than one slice the installer changes the slice size when attempting
:to activate the slice. This resulted in overwriting slices that follow.
:I was able to reproduce the problem repeatedly, and I am wondering if
:anyone else has experienced the same problem ?
:
:Installing manually works fine.
:
:I had three slices on the drive, divided roughly ad1s1: 25% ad1s2: 25%
:and ad1s3: 50%. When using the installer on either the first or the
:second slice, the installer changes the slice size to the size of the
:last slice. In my case the slice size is changed to 50% of the disk.
:Like most configurations, the final parition in the slice gets the
:remaining space, which ends up being a whole lot more than the original
:slice size. The resulting newfs ends up clobbering slices that follow.
:
:I was able to observe the slice size change when the installer sets the
:partition to active. Unfortunately I don't have the installer log, but
:if really needed I could reproduce it.
:
:Cheers...Andrew
