This is running dfly 1.1-current of ~1600 utc Sunday.

The system was loaded through prior installation of
FreeBSD 4.10-release.

The machine is a P-4 with HTT, the console:

lpt0: Interrupt-driven port
ppi0: <Parallel I/O> on ppbus0
installed MI handler for int 7
installed MI handler for int 0
APIC_IO: Testing 8254 interrupt delivery
APIC_IO: Broken MP table detected: 8254 is not connected
to IOAPIC #0 intpin 2
APIC_IO: routing 8254 via 8259 and IOAPIC #0 intpin 0
SMP: AP CPU #1 Launched!
acd0: CDROM <CD-224E> at ata1-master PIO4

[hang]

The kernel has:

options SMP
options APIC_IO

Tried to boot with acpi disabled:

boot: unset acpi_load
boot: boot

The above from docs for recent fbsd 4.*
is this the Right Thing?

FWIW this is the same point where the same hardware
hung with *bsd of ~30 days ago at a point when the os had some
ACPI issues.

There is no 'menu' at bootup, any suggestions on getting that
working are greatly appreciated..

tnx
