Samba trouble

Hi,

I just upgraded my samba stuff to 3.0.9 and are now unable to map a
network drive. The prior version, 3.0.2a, worked fine...so I
deinstalled 3.0.9 and manually reinstalled 3.0.2a -- just to find out
it also doesn't work any longer (tried gcc 3.4 as well as 2.9).

Both smbd versions give these error messages:

---------
Dec 20 01:39:04 <user.crit> eigelstein smbd: stack overflow in
function open_sockets_smbd
Dec 20 01:39:04 <kern.info> eigelstein kernel: pid 57162 (smbd), uid
0: exited on signal 6 (core dumped)
---------

Each time I try to map a network drive from my W2K3 box, smbd honors
those attempts with fresh core dumps.

I'm not sure if this is related to DFly, but since 3.0.2a was running
fine (built...hmm...two months ago or so), I suspect some weird stuff
in the socket handling area...?

If this should be worth debugging, just let me know which files you
need me to make available.
